Pakistan is a country blessed with beautiful and scenic locations with a diverse culture and historic heritage. The country is a site for one of the world’s earliest human settlements such as the Indus Valley Civilization, religions and cultures. The country is home to lofty mountain ranges located in the North, the Himalayas, and the Karakoram through the dissected plateaus to the plains of Punjab. Then there are the barren and dry hills of Baluchistan, dry deserts of Sindh and golden beaches of the Makran coast.

The lake freezes during the winters and gets covered by heavy snow. At the basin, you will find a sheet of alpine flowers such as blue poppy, geum, potentilla and gentian.  The lake is also encircled by a wide range of pinus species serving as abode for wild birds. The lake is home to trout fishes which are mostly caught by the licensed fishermen.

    Saifullah Lake

    SaifUllah Lake

Saifulah Lake, lies to the North of Kalam and the Mahudand Lake. The lake is not only famous among the nature lovers but also among the exiotic fish hunters. You can access the valley through an un-metalled road from Kalam in a 4×4 vehicle ending in Mahudand Lake. The road is quite tricky however, the surrounding landscapes will capture you in a severe way to wish for more beautiful panoramas. From Mahudand, there is a track upto maximum an hour leading to Saifullah Lake. The lake is quite similar in appearance to the Mahudand lake. A big waterfall near the Saifullah Lake is a center of attraction among many tourists.
